Milagros began with an amazing gift of semi-precious and traditional beads from around the world. I have since added to the collection but still have many of the one-of -a-kind pendants and focus beads.
My creative intention is to use the beads in a combination; creating jewelry rich in color and texture in a rhythm of asymmetric balance….a metaphor for celebrating the diversity and oneness of all cultures. I’ve created four collections:
Premier Collection necklaces are of semiprecious stones, antique traditional pendants and silver from many cultures around the world.
Spring Collection is similar in the quality of beads but accentuating pastel colors and pendants reminiscent of spring.
Earth Collection combines predominantly African traditional beads and others in strong earth tones, leaving their patina and even tarnish to give an overall authenticity. They are strung on cord and can be shortened if my buyer prefers.
Sea Collection begins with stones found along the central coast of California, combined with African glass, silver, heishi and other stones reminiscent of a walk on the beach. They can also be shortened if my buyer prefers.
